While making one large piece, 15 feet by 1 foot, arranged in a geoemtric shape in my floor for my home, I enjoyed walking on the tumbled glossy stones with my bare feet. I then found that there were people who were interested in these pieces with specific stones or colors that were attractive to them.

Crystal healing is the use of crystals to bring about healing and positive changes in the mind and body. I create mosiac art loosely based on Feng Shui elements of fire, water, earth, wood and metal as well as many other inspiring forms. I also like creating mandalas with Chakra inspired stones and organic Asian inspired free forms.

Crystal healing is an alternative healing technique for strengthening the body and resolving issues and patterns using various forms of natural crystals. I believe that these stones remind us that the answers lay within ourselves. And that these beautiful stones help us to remember to bring our strengths out when we need them. However, the theory of crystals is that gemstones carry vibrational rates. By placing these vibrational rates within the aura - your aura's vibrational rates also change. It's reported that often the effects are indirect, but very potent. Other times, the effects appear very direct and repeatable. The scientist in me was skeptical until I started doing some research and found that, indeed, crystal quartz when touched actually makes a circuit. Interesting.... hmmm. So, I got to thinking - wouldn't it be nice to have these stones arranged in an aesthetically pleasing way and be part of my home.

I love turquois, lapis, quartz, amethyst, jaspers and tigers eyes. In my floor my teenagers and I created an abstract 'dragon'.

Whether you like crystal healing, Reiki or believe in these types of new age therapy, one must agree that these stones, crystals and minerals are beyond beautiful and are a very green form of art that is far different from all the mass produced commercially available. It delights me that my art form has a dual purpose for some people.

Commissions are available on a per square foot basis. Stones are mounted on a mesh backing, ready for installation by your contractor. Price will depend on size of design, size of stones, type of stones and complexity of the design. Certain stones are not recommended for flooring which will be exposed to water or strong cleaners. Dusting or wiping with a soft damp cloth is usually all that is needed.
