The fabric I create for my Shibori pieces is celulosic and protein yarns which absorb dyes very well. I mix my own colors as I need them so that the dyes are fresh.

While the pieces are scoured and soaked in the pre dye bath solution, I prepare my dyes. I use procion and natual dyes on my fabrics. I apply the dyes in various ways: spray, brush, drip, pour, spatter, dip, wick, and many other different applications.
